I had a dream once set to the composition Clair de Lune (www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaigZY… by Claude Debussy. In the dream I was in an abandoned city in the middle of a foggy night. The air was cool and calm, but uncomfortable all at once. A series of never ending street lamps lit the way through a park. I felt alone and at peace though something about the scene was unsettling. It was beautiful, haunting and memorizing just like the song. I have long since wanted to recreate that dream in a speed paint. Seeing as it is Claude's birthday today, I decided to take a stab at it. Somewhere around 45 - 50 min. Let me know what you think below.
Very well done. You captured exactly the feelings you described.
hot damn. i need to try some landscapes sometime soon.
I like the atmosphere.
very mysterious. I like it.
trippy, i love it, key thing in any drawing/art/graphics is lighting, you nailed it
Love the shadowy effects you made for the lamps. Maybe needs more blue/black or something darker for the sky, unless your dream had just the orangy tones. Very suggesting
